Excited is an understatement
Every morning, I wake up and quickly browse emails on my phone. Whilst I cleared off the junk 1-by-1, another email caught my eye titled “Welcome AWS Community Builder!“. I quickly assumed it was a scam, but those thoughts soon disappeared upon opening it. I was thrilled! Working with people with a common passion and goal for AWS and sharing knowledge will be critical to my studying and knowledge-sharing journey. Being a part of this program unlocks enormous benefits for me, and I’m itching to get started!
Category Networking & Content Delivery
I’ve been assigned the category of Networking and Content Delivery. It’s a part of AWS that’s taken my interest recently, and with myself booking the AWS Speciality exam in networking, this feel’s right. I’ve been in the networking aspect of IT for over 15 years, and it’s a subject I enjoy dearly, especially in the current movement toward Network Automation and IaC.
My interests in my current career path have recently turned towards cloud and infrastructure in the cloud. With my experience in networking, I feel that being able to offer those skills and knowledge in the cloud space could be very rewarding, especially in the learning space.
I love what I do here
I love to blog, I love to write, I love to share knowledge, and I plan to continue doing this more (a lot more) as I grow within the AWS community builder program. Expect more posts surrounding Cloud networking and content delivery, and maybe some video blog posts covering this. The change of format (or addition to current) to video is a new area for me and, again, is something I’m excited to follow up on and get feedback on. Improving quantity and quality is one of my goals surrounding this.
Challenges
For me, the challenge isn’t technical knowledge; it’s more about presenting information and explaining concepts clearly and concisely. I hope to learn more about this from other AWS Community Builders and better myself in that regard.
What's next?
I’ll be blogging and posting on Twitter/ LinkedIn about my journey in the AWS Community Builders program, so feel free to give me a follow on either Twitter or LinkedIn at the bottom of this page.
I want to thank the AWS Community Builders team for allowing me to be a part of this scheme, and I look forward to chatting with all of you soon!
